Twilight on the Desert print

Twilight on the Desert print

This print captures my original watercolor and ink painting, "Twilight on the Desert."  I created this piece en plein air on one of my frequent camping trips to the Utah desert.  It illustrates the diversity of texture and color found in the desert, from sand and rocks to junipers and bare trees, with the Sheeprock Mountains looming in the distance.

Our desert is full of contradictions, and not the dead wasteland people often expect. Utah is built on the remains of an ancient ocean and I still see elements of this blossoming life in the desert today, and depict it in my artwork. The desert is a constant inspiration to me-- a source of wildness, wisdom, and quiet strength.  These elements really come to life in the twilight.

The vibrant watercolor and pen details of this painting are captured clearly in the high-quality print.  Colors featured include glowing turqouise, spring green, and pastel peach.

I believe art should be accessible to everyone, and available at all price points.  That is why I offer select prints of my paintings in a variety of sizes.  Prints are an easy way to bring color and whimsy into your decor, and add a new image to your gallery wall.

If you are interested in a print of one of my paintings not currently offered, or additional print sizes you can contact me here to request it.

I hire a local expertise shop to make these prints on Kodak Supra Endura VC luster photo paper in their Chromira Pro Lab wet-process printer. I have selected this method and material because it produces genuine, consistent color. These professionally made prints preserve the vibrancy and brushstrokes of the original painting.

Print is sold unmatted & unframed.
