Losing the Farm

Losing the Farm

This rural dreamscape captures rural beauty and the comfort of nature, even as the city encroaches in the background.  Featuring dynamic brushstrokes creating colorful leaded window effects, this painting was created in multiple layers on canvas with watercolors.  Indigo colors are heavily featued to create a framing effect. Multiple overlays of paint lend depth to the colors, giving the piece a quilt-like appearance to the flowing composition.

Colors include indigo blue, emerald, and pops of tangerine orange and canary yellow.

The sides of the canvas are painted, signed on the front.

Materials are watercolors on stretched watercolor canvas. Finished with UV-resistant clear coat protectant.

12 x 12 inches, 0.5 inches deep.
